Nude Principal Can More Easily Kiss His Ass Good-Bye
April 28, 2007

The following rant is based on this news article:
Mom finds nude pix of principal on Internet

B.C. school principal suspended for nude travel photo found on web site

VANCOUVER (CP) — A school principal in the resort town of Harrison Hot Springs suspended after a nude photo of him was found on his family website is being asked to turn over his personal computer for inspection.

Mark Classen was suspended with pay last week by the Fraser-Cascade School District in the Fraser Valley east of Vancouver while it looks into a complaint from a parent who stumbled on the photo.

School district chairman Jim Sinclair said Classen has been asked to turn over his home computer to school officials to see if there is any other potentially offensive material on it.

“The legal advice we have at the moment is we need to be sure there’s nothing else on this computer,” he said in an interview Thursday. “We’ve asked him to allow us to have a forensic look at his computer.”

The B.C. Principals’ and Vice-Principals’ Association, which is representing Classen, has advised him not to hand it over, Sinclair said.

He said Classen will not be allowed back into the school “until we are satisfied there is nothing else there that we should be afraid of.”

A spokesman for the association wouldn’t discuss the specifics of the case, citing confidentiality.

Officials are demanding the computer even though Sinclair concedes the photo appears innocent and there’s no evidence Classen is any danger to children.

“I think at this point what we have is a stupid, stupid mistake by the guy,” he said. “But other than that there’s nothing criminal, no indication that children are at risk with this man.”

The indistinct photo is 15 years old, apparently taken several years ago when Classen and his wife visited a nude beach in Australia, said Elan Nootebos, president of Harrison’s parent advisory council, who has seen the picture.

“You can’t see his face but you could tell that it was a naked man,” she said. “I wouldn’t look at it and go, oooh, there’s a penis. But you could look at it and tell he was not wearing any clothes.”

A parent found the photo after a link to Classen’s family website — since taken down — was inadvertently attached to a reply to an e-mail she sent him about a school matter.

Nootebos said the parent, who could not be reached for comment, trolled through hundreds of travel and family photos on the site before stumbling on the nude shot.

“She’s ecstatic about the other pictures, how wonderful they were,” said Sinclair, who heard from the angry parent.

Classen was suspended immediately but Sinclair said the incident blew up after someone sent the photo to a local television station.

A story about it was lumped in with another item about child molestation, the school official said.

“We would probably have handled this very, very quietly and differently had it not been sent to the press,” said Sinclair.

“We didn’t get stampeded but once it’s out in the public domain you have to react one way or the other.”

Nootebos said her parents’ group supports Classen, who became principal at the 100-pupil Harrison Hot Springs elementary school last fall. She lauded him for starting arts and sports programs at the school.

But others seem to want the principal’s head, said Sinclair.

“You have another faction in the school that at the meeting on Monday night accused him of being a pedophile and a pervert and a few other names. It’s hysteria.”

Classen could not be reached for comment but Nootebos said he regrets posting the photo and has apologized.

“He’s very saddened that there are a few people that found him unapproachable and that it led to this,” she said. “He’s confident that there’s nothing in his past that will be of any cause for any concern.”

The B.C. College of Teachers is also investigating.

Spokesman Mykle Ludvigsen said he did not know how long its review would take but would be based on the college’s standards for professional conduct.

“Professional educators are held to higher standards than non-professionals, particularly as their conduct reflects the reputation of the profession and the school system,” the standards state.

“Educators are considered to be role models for children and their behaviour, whether in a classroom, on a field trip or on vacation, can reflect positively or negatively on the profession and on the school system as a whole.”

Sinclair agreed teachers are held to a higher standard than many other citizens.

“We have greater expectations for teachers because they have greater control of our children for the greater part of the day,” he said.

I'm not quite sure where to begin with this. I forgave the person who sent me this story for their poor spelling and grammar because I figure it must be really hard to type well after 25 tons of pure stupid pour out of your screen and onto the keyboard. Thankfully, I have developed a high tolerance for stupidity (it comes from being an intelligent person living in the south) so I was immune to the deadly effects.

A few questions come to mind. Questions that, when I send a link to this rant to the school board where this man worked, I will hopefully get some answers to.

The first and most obvious question is, what exactly did this man do that was wrong? I see no indication that he has done anything that is either illegal or immoral, even by conservative standards. The man was nude, with his wife, on a nude beach. Is it just me or is that, like, NOTHING? Again, I ask, his crime was what exactly? Is it that he's capable of nudity or that he's capable of being nude at a private facility that is explicitly designated for nudity? I mean, that's what a nude beach IS. It's no more "immoral" to be nude at a private beach than it is to be nude in a public changing room at a water park or something!

Now, given that he didn't actually *do* anything wrong, the next most obvious question is how the fuck is this any of the school's business? He engaged in a perfectly legal and acceptable activity 15 years ago on vacation. His actions did not involve the school, did not involve children in any way, unless there were children at the nude beach as well, in which case their parents would've been present and supervising them.

So, now that we've established that he did nothing wrong and that his actions were none of the school's fucking business, I have to ask why was he suspended from his job? Not that I expect answers to any of these questions, mind you.

The next dumbass move the school district made was to ask for this man's computer so they can "see if there is any other potentially offensive material on it." What the fuck do you mean "any other?" There wasn't any "offensive material" on it to begin with! There was nudity. Adult nudity. His OWN nudity! The only way that was "offensive" is because some GODDAMN NOSY ASS BITCH "trolled through hundreds of travel and family photos on the site before stumbling on the nude shot." Who gives a flying fuck?! Nobody told her to go do that. Nobody told a parent to go looking for something "naughty" that this man did and the fact of the matter is that even the one thing she found isn't the slightest bit raunchy or risque! Not the least little bit! And how did the great fucking explorer describe her jewel of a find?

“You can’t see his face but you could tell that it was a naked man,” she said. “I wouldn’t look at it and go, oooh, there’s a penis. But you could look at it and tell he was not wearing any clothes.”

Bravo. What that tells me is that all this fucking craziness is over an old grainy shot where you can't even see SHIT!

OH SHIT! Everybody run for cover, it's a naked guy... well, you can't actually see anything nakedlike, but still RUN FOR FUCKING COVER ANYWAY because the very idea of a dude being naked is somehow offensive and damning!!!

And then, to top it all off, we have the genius parents chiming in...

“You have another faction in the school that at the meeting on Monday night accused him of being a pedophile and a pervert and a few other names. It’s hysteria.”

Wait... WHAT?! A pedophile? A pervert? Because he was naked with his ADULT WIFE at a beach for ADULTS, this somehow equates to him being a pedophile??? The man was NAKED on a beach! This wasn't a picture of him being jacked off by a 5yo boy, you goddamn IDIOTS! Being NAKED has *nothing* to do with one's sexuality! NOTHING! Straight people get naked, so do gay people, so do bisexual people, so do nuns, so do priests (ok, that's not the best example). Yes, I'm sure that pedophiles get naked too, but that's at least one thing that everyone has in common with them, dontcha fuckin' THINK?

No, you DON'T think, and that's the crux of this problem. Would I want this man teaching my children? YES! Why the fuck WOULDN'T I? He hasn't DONE anything!!!!!

The only crime this principal is guilty of is not telling every last one of you cocksucking puritan faggots to take your holier-than-thou accusations and shove them right up your fucking ass! I don't give a shit what "higher standard" you think teachers are supposed to be held to. Your bullshit notions of such "standards" don't give you the right to invade this man's private life and put his *perfectly acceptable* actions on trial for the whole fucking world to see.

Let me break it down for you.

If the man has nude pics of himself on his computer: NOT YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS!

If he has nude pics of his wife on his computer: NOT YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS!

If he has videos of he and his wife fucking doggy style on that beach: NOT YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS!!!

Now, if he had nude pics of his children, THEN you might have cause for concern. THEN you might have a reason to investigate him. But even then, that wouldn't make me think he's a pedophile or some kinda pervert. The man goes to nude beaches, maybe he and his whole family are naturists!

The main problem here is the idiotic misconception that nudity is something sexual. IT ISN'T! And even if it were, it STILL wasn't something sexual involving children or his school so you can STILL shove it straight up your ass, cocksuckers!

Y'know what, though? Go right ahead and fire him. He's got a pretty decent lawsuit right there, so you go right ahead and fire his ass so he can fucking sue the goddamn hell out of you! I worked in public education for long enough to know very well what the fuck a school employee's contract looks like and I know what the grounds for terminating an employee are. A grainy nude pic of oneself on one's home computer or personal website IS NOT grounds for termination in ANY employment contract - not even a principal's! Hell, full-on hard core adult porn on his home computer wouldn't even be grounds for termination.

This man did absolutely NOTHING wrong and every day he's kept on suspension is just one more day that his superiors prove what pathetic useless jackasses they are. Oh, and I hope they don't think they're fucking fooling anyone. This isn't about some pissy little nude pic. Some people have obviously got it in for this man (whether justified or not) and are latching on to this tiny insignificant thing as a rallying point to get rid of him. I've spent enough fucking time working in a public school to know how petty and spiteful the internal politics are. People don't like this guy and this is their moronic excuse to get rid of him. That's ALL this is about.

And in closing....

“Educators are considered to be role models for children and their behaviour, whether in a classroom, on a field trip or on vacation, can reflect positively or negatively on the profession and on the school system as a whole.”

I dare you - I FUCKING DARE YOU - to sit down with your children and tell them that being naked is wrong and WHY it's wrong. I'd like to fucking see that. You wanna tell me HOW he's being a bad role model? What he did isn't something I'd tell my kids not to do! If I wanna go to a nude beach, I'll go, and if my kids wanna get nude and go splash around in the ocean or some shit, fine. That's MY business, NOT YOURS!

It's the human body, not something profane or obscene. Take your "higher standards" and fucking choke on them.
