The Unpleaseable FundaMENTAList And Their Stupidity
By: Matt Lucifer  |  July 16, 2006

Whoever said "you can't please them all" must've had an encounter with a religious fundamentalist. I say this to start off a story. I was at church (because I wanted my mom to be quiet) when I heard someone say "There aren't enough family friendly movies" I told him about all the good movies that just came out and are about to come out. This guy proceeded to say how they're so bad. If I were to type out everything he said, everyone who read this would have to be sent to Special Ed because it would lower their IQ.

I was suprised he didn't say something about playing the audio backwards. It was then I figured out why Hollywood doesn't release more family friendly movies. The pro family fundies would find so much wrong with them it's not worth bothering. The fundies seem to like finding evil in everything from bad movies to breakfast cereal (I've seen em do it.)

They really hate blog sites because there's so much "evil" on it. By evil of course, I mean anything that doesn't shout their beliefs from the rooftops. Now I have to bring this up. God has often turned things satan used to harm people into a tool to help spread his message all through The Bible. Couldn't they do that with the "evil" blog sites? They do claim they're his messangers after all.

In they're never ending quest to "take a stand against evil" they've made themselves look stupid. Case in point the Harry Potter books. People actually went out, bought the books and set them on fire.

For those of you who don't get it....

Instead of using the money to reach out to the poor, the sick, the helpless, etc. like Jesus commanded, they encouraged the author to produce more of what they hold in such deep disdain by giving her more money.

If the question was What Wouldn't Jesus Do? That would at least be in the top 20.

I will conclude with this:

Many churches are lamenting the fact that many youth are turning away from the church. Probably because they've been too busy telling everyone where satan was and neglected teaching people about Jesus.

Fundies should read this: Put the backmasking software away, stop looking for Satan in every movie, every website, every show, etc. Put your book burning kits away. If you're so concerned about kids turning away you should get back to telling people about the REAL Jesus Christ. Not the rabid freakshow you have been portraying to everyone for many, many, years.
